Volunteer Ministers Respond to Serbian Floods

Balkans Floods: A state of Emergency was declared in Bosnia and Serbia due to the worst flooding in 120 years.

Overflowing rivers burst into towns and villages, cutting off whole communities, while landslides buried houses. Thousands of people were evacuated in Serbia.

Volunteer Ministers currently on a Good Will Tour in Belgrade, on 25 May 2014, started helping on disaster response due to the floods in Serbia.

The VMs helped in a Shelter in Belgrade distributing food, water and helping those in the shelter to get the help they needed. The VMs then started text messaging other VMs and activated more VMs to help.

The next day the VMs went back to the shelter and started getting in communication with those affected by asking how they were doing, where they were from, etc. After that they were offered assists. After the assists they were asked how they were doing. Many of them had tears in their eyes but all felt better.

The next day more VMs were activated and the VMs delivered nerve assists to 50 people. The people receiving the assists were recommending the assist to others. The VMs were asked to come back to the shelter.

All Volunteers Ministers in Serbia are needed to join the VMs who are helping in Serbia.
